Therapy

Family therapies aim to deal with the family as a whole. The aim of family therapy is not to concentrate directly on the treatment of mental problems of individuals, but to address the relationship and communication problems between individuals.

Organizing family relationships often positively affects the mental health of family members, because families are often the most important source of support for their members as well as the most important source of stress.

Family therapy is carried out with the participation of all or a few family members. In therapy sessions, family members discuss the way their families function with the therapist, find the points that create blockage and try to find alternative solutions.

Family therapy can be carried out in a co-therapy format that focuses only on problems between spouses, or, for example, sessions with children can be held when the problem is related to children. The therapies are applied for an hour with an average of fifteen days intervals. It can also be maintained in combination with individual treatments and drug treatments when necessary.
