Couple therapy is a form of therapy carried out with married or emotional couples, focusing on the problems in the relationship between the couples. The common view underlying couple therapies is that it is necessary and natural to experience discussions and problems in every relationship. However, it is known that the arguments contain hostile-hurtful attitudes and words, and long-lasting resentment have very negative effects on relationships and children.

Therefore, among the main objectives of couple therapy; Recognizing the emotions and reasons of spouses, managing their negative emotions, controlling depression and anger, staying calm during a discussion, expressing their feelings, and gaining active listening skills.
There are many scientific studies that prove that the relationships of many couples who regularly attend couples therapy develop in the direction of intimacy and being more satisfying.
The structure and application of couples therapy differ between methods and approaches. Generally, in couple therapies, interviews are conducted in sessions with both people attending. In some approaches, in the evaluation sessions covering the first 2-3 sessions; one session can also be done separately with the couples.
